Every project begins with getting to know you. I start with a free 30-minute call, where we talk through your ideas, budget, timeline, and any potential constraints, giving you a clear overview from the very start.

I later present early concepts using layout options, visual studies, and reference imagery - this helps clients get a feel for the full potential of the project before making any major commitments.

During th concept stage, I take your brief and begin shaping it into a clear design concept. Together, we’ll explore layout options and start to define the overall vision for your project. I share sketches, early design studies and precedents to help you visualise the full potential.

Once we’ve agreed on the concept, I begin refining it into a final proposal - making sure everything works seamlessly together, both practically and aesthetically.

Throughout this process, I keep a close eye on planning requirements, budget, and any site constraints. If needed, I’ll consult with planning specialists or submit a pre-application to the local authority to gather early feedback which will help in ensuring we get the best possible outcome from a full planning application.

Now that the design concept is finalised, I begin narrowing it down to a single, final option that we will move forward with. At this stage, I take full responsibility for coordinating all architectural elements to ensure everything fits together seamlessly, while also developing the overall detailing of the proposal.

I also consult with trusted tradespeople from my network to gather their input on where we can save costs and improve efficiency, helping us address potential issues upfront and keep the project on track.

This stage focuses on refining and space-proofing the key design components, ensuring everything complies with Building Regulations and is ready for the next steps. Once complete, I prepare the full planning application package, submit it to the local authority, and manage all communications, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Once planning approval is secured, we move into the technical design phase. At this stage, I develop a detailed set of drawings and specifications suitable for Building Control submission and accurate contractor pricing.

These documents form the foundation for a competitive tender process, usually involving at least three contractors to give you a clear comparison of costs. Depending on your preference, I can either manage the tender process for you, helping to identify, assess, and shortlist the most suitable contractors, or recommend trusted contractors from my established network. This flexibility allows us to tailor the process to what works best for your project.

When the construction stage begins, I know how important it is to have the right suppliers involved and a fully coordinated design. Interior design is often left until the end of a project, which can cause delays and leave clients unsure about how everything will come together. My interior design package ensures that all the details are aligned from the very start, in parallel to the architectural design.

I provide guidance, on site presence and a consistent point of contact, making sure the interior design evolves smoothly alongside construction so you can look forward to a beautifully finished home.

My role during this phase is very flexible, with no fixed fees or commitments. Every project is unique, so I tailor my involvement to what works best for my clients. I can support you with a full interior design package or simply step in for certain stages or specific parts of the project, whatever suits your needs.

At the end of construction, I carry out final site inspections and prepare a detailed snagging list to ensure every element meets the required standard. I also coordinate with the contractor to resolve any outstanding items needed for Building Control sign-off, helping you secure your completion certificate with confidence.
