Having the right suppliers and tradespeople in place before construction begins is crucial for keeping a project on schedule and avoiding delays or design inconsistencies. One of the most common issues I see is clients leaving these decisions too late, which can lead to added costs and unnecessary pressure later on. My job is to make sure those key conversations, selections and design decisions happen early, so the right team and suppliers are lined up from the outset.

Once construction begins, I step into a more hands-on role. This means I regularly visit site to oversee the work, check that the builders are following the design accurately, and make sure everything is progressing on time and to the expected quality. I monitor the build regularly, resolve any issues that come up, and coordinate directly with the contractor so problems are dealt with quickly before they become costly for my clients.

I also review variations, keep an eye on costs, and make sure there are no unexpected financial implications for you. Throughout the entire construction phase, I keep you fully updated with regular check-ins and clear communication, so you always know what’s happening and can feel confident that the project is staying on track.
